About Us

Good Karma was founded to able to rescue in what we felt was the right way — from not leaving behind moms or siblings when rescuing, not skimping on veterinary care, and using fair placement practices during adoptions.

Founded in 2011 by Stacey Tollackson, Good Karma Pet Rescue is Florida’s largest foster-based rescue. We save about 1,500 dogs and cats each year.

Our mission is to rescue pets of all ages, breeds, and medical needs. We ensure they receive full veterinary care and are adopted into loving homes.

With a dedicated foster network and trusted veterinary partners, we also extend our mission beyond adoptions—supporting unadoptable pets, caring for homeless community cats, connecting cats with northern rescue partners through our transport program, and helping families in need with affordable vet care through our Happier @ Home program.

Every donation is carefully managed to make the greatest impact for pets in need.

With your support, we can continue rescuing, healing, and placing pets in loving homes near and far.

Our veterinarians provide in-house vet care to our rescue’s animals and to pet parents in the community needing affordable vet care.

Arthur (With an A)
Honorary Board Member

Arthur’s philanthropic spirit for animals in need balances out his dubious ethics. When he’s not plotting his next business venture, he runs the Bank of Arthur, where financial decisions are non-negotiable and there are no refundsies or takesie-backsies. Arthur lives at Ralphieland in Knoxville, Tennessee with his 8 canine and 2 feline siblings and their dad.
