Become a foster
We are a foster-home-based rescue, meaning we could not do what we do without our awesome, loving foster parents!
What does fostering entail?
Since all animals and their situations are different, fostering can be a very different experience from one pet to the next. Basically, you are the temporary home for a rescued pet. You feed them and love them and help get them ready medically and socially for their next stop — a forever home!
What do you prefer?
Do you love to nurse sick animals back to health? Or do you want to provide a loving home to a pet who’s healthy but just needs a little time to find her forever family? Do you want to foster just once? Do you want to foster one animal a year? Do you want a foster pet (or two) in your home all the time? We appreciate whatever you can give, and will work with what you can commit to.
We provide everything you need!
From crates and collars to flea prevention and food, we provide whatever you need. Your pet will get veterinary care at one of our veterinary partners at no cost to you. Our volunteers will advertise your pets for their forever homes, do home checks, and even transport when necessary. You just treat the pet like your own while she is with you so she is as happy & healthy as she can be until the right family comes along.
What are the requirements to foster?
You need to 1) complete a foster application and pass the application process; 2) be 18+ with a safe home environment; and 3) have landlord approval if renting. If you have resident pets, we will check to make sure they are up-to-date on vaccines and are spayed/neutered. *Under 18 and interested in fostering? Have your parent or guardian complete the application.
Are you looking to get service hours for school?
Good Karma can provide service hours for both fostering and volunteering. Fill out an application if you are interested.
