We started our Happier @ Home initiative in 2023 because we saw such a great need in our community. Due to rising inflation and increased vet care costs, we see pet parents struggling every day to keep their family together. Sometimes, treating an illness or injury is simply more than they can afford and they’re faced with a heartbreaking decision.

Many see shelters as their last resort, but with shelters at and over capacity and intakes at an all-time high, entering a shelter is more dangerous than ever for an animal.

Instead of adding more dogs & cats to the shelters, we want the goal to be pets staying with their owners — in their own homes, where they are loved and comfortable. This is why the “Happier at Home” initiative was founded.

Through the support of our community, we have provided low-cost emergency vet care to qualified pet owners, allowing them to keep their families together.
